Course and Workshop Details and Requirements
This a 2 day postpartum doula training workshop that is required for a CPD (Certified Postpartum Doula) through CAPPA. You will receive 18 hours credit for this workshop. You do not have to be affiliated or enrolled with CAPPA to attend. The workshop is offered on May 12-13, 2017.
Costs and Fees

Course and Workshop Details and Requirements
The classes offered are Baby Sign Language class (3 sessions), Breastfeeding Basics class (2.5 hours), Infant Massage class (3 sessions), and What to Expect as a New Parent class (4 hours). These classes are not associated with certification organizations such as DONA International.
Course and Workshop Topics
These classes will go over the following concepts:
- Learn how to proper diapering, bathing, and other infant care techniques
- Understand the characteristics of normal newborn appearance
- Discuss how to cope with newborn stress
- Learn how to use the sense of touch and massage to soothe, heal, and bond
- Learn about bathing, diapering, and CPR
- Discuss how to prevent problems during breastfeeding as well as how to pump and store milk
- Understand baby language and their needs through visual and auditory cues

Baby Sign Language class – $40 per class, or $100 for all 3 classes
Breastfeeding Basics class – $30
Infant Massage class – $45
What to Expect as a New Parent class – $50
